Cordier's Bourgogne Blanc 'Jean de La Vigne' is entitled to display the Mâcon-Villages appellation on the label, but Cordier prefers not to, as this wine is far from the style of normal Mâcon-Villages. Much more ripeness and fruit are typical of this producer. Plenty of zesty, citrus fruit here, but with some tropical melon and peach too. Medium bodied with a rounded finish, this is Mâcon wine at its best. With plenty of fresh fruit and a mouth-filling finish, this cracking Burgundy has the qualities required to complement seafood dishes.
