Ergobaby's new four position 360 baby carrier offers you the ultimate in flexibility by enabling you to wear your baby in the ergonomically supported front inward, back, hip and now front-outward carry positions. This versatility provides more options for babies who are physically and developmentally ready for greater interaction with their environments. When your baby reaches 5-6 months and is awake, it can be beneficial for them to spend short periods of time facing outwards. The baby carrier's innovative design features a structured bucket seat which keeps baby ergonomically seated in all 4 positions with knees even to or above the hips, with baby's spine in the curved 'C' position. The revolutionary carrier seat is designed with buttons for an adjustable width that grows with your baby to ensure comfort and ideal hip positioning. The exceptionally comfortable extra wide riptape waistband (66-140cm) can be worn high or low on the waist depending on preference and provides extra support for the low back. This is particularly helpful in the event of a C-section. The extendable back panel can be rolled down for front-outward, or upwards for the inward facing positions to provide extra head, neck and back support for baby. Comfort needn't be an issue with the adjustable padded shoulder straps that help evenly distribute baby's weight in combination with the wide waistband. Also featured is a sleeping hood, providing protection from sun, support for baby's head while sleeping, and added privacy while nursing. You can even alternate between the front-inward and front-outward positions whilst wearing the carrier. Just make sure you support your baby securely as you switch between the black/grey buttons on the bucket seat. As with all Ergobaby carriers, this baby carrier has added safety mechanisms on the hip and shoulder belts, including high-quality clasps, carefully selected materials and a sturdy overall design. It was developed in collaboration with midwives and baby carrier consultants and extensively tested with parents of babies ranging in age from newborn to 4 years of age. Please note: The references to ages and weights are only general guidelines and each baby's development is different. The Easy Snug infant insert should be used until your baby demonstrates strong head and neck control and can be seated comfortably in an ergonomic, M-shaped position within the Carrier, even if their weight is more than 12lbs.
