Inspired by the celebrated Tudor Oysterdate Chronograph of the early 1970's, the Tudor Heritage Chrono introduces modern design codes. All the lines of this storied timepiece have been mindfully reformulated to echo, with a contemporary spin, the exquisite contours of this coveted chronograph and of the racing cars at the historic, technical and aesthetic heart of its creation. Mirroring the original shape and proportions of the 1970's model, the Tudor Heritage Chrono introduces a series of new and beautifully executed design details: the bevelled and polished edges of the lugs, the slick, stylised shoulders to protect the crown, and the knurled edges of the rotatable bezel and of the pushers that flank a knurled winding crown to improve grip. Inspired by history, but not completely redesigned, the dial has three-dimensional hour markers with two bevelled metallic edges defining an area filled with SuperLuminova for a stronger image and optimal legibility. It also features two counters located inside two grey trapezoidal shapes on the black dial, one at 3 o'clock for the small seconds hand, and one at 9 o'clock for the 45-minute counter, as well as a date window which is located at 6 o'clock. Waterproof to a depth of 150m, the 42mm steel case is presented on a three link solid steel bracelet with clasp and TUDOR shield logo, and has a bidirectional bezel with a 12-hour graduated black anodized aluminium insert for second time-zone display. Under its scratch resistant sapphire crystal, it houses a self-winding mechanical chronograph Tudor calibre 2892 movement with a 42-hour power reserve.
